Patrick Terrell Brown, 45, of Harrisburg, had five active criminal cases in Dauphin County when he was allegedly involved in an armed robbery in Northern Georgia on Friday, Oct. 25. The getaway car fled across South Carolina and was spotted in North Carolina that evening.
The Iredell County Sheriff's said the following about the pursuit:
"Deputies from the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team quickly located a vehicle matching the provided description traveling northbound on Interstate 77. Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop; however, the suspect refused to comply and began to flee."
The high-speed chase came to an end when the vehicle he was fleeing in got a flat tire, the Sheriff explained.
"Before deputies could reach the stopped vehicle, the suspect exited through the window and attempted to flee on foot," the sheriff said, but "Deputies immediately initiated a foot pursuit and quickly apprehended the suspect."
During a search of the vehicle, deputies confirmed a large undisclosed amount of cash, believed to be connected to the North Georgia armed robbery, was inside.
Brown was arrested and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center where he was issued a $75,000 bond. "Authorities in Georgia will be obtaining full extradition warrants on Brown for the charges of armed robbery," the sheriff concluded.
He has a lengthy criminal record in Pennsylvania beginning with drug offenses in 1998. He was also convicted of aggravated assault, robbery, and four more cases for drug-related offenses, court dockets detail.
He was last featured in a Daily Voice article when he was acquitted of murder in 2021.
Brown's active cases in Dauphin County, PA date from July 2019 through Oct. 11, 2024, so it is not immediately clear when he went to Georgia. Those cases include charges of assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, drug-related offenses, corruption of minors, fighting, and terroristic threats. His latest PA case has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Friday, Nov. 8, but that will probably be rescheduled due to the NC arrest an pending charges in Georgia.
